If you are like me, you love your video games. So why is it that I have developed a love-hate relationship with my Xbox 360? I have had more problems from this system than any other one that I’ve owned. i have found several ways to keep it running for very little money.

you should remember that the Xbox 360 is just like many other electronic devices. If you abuse it too much, it will simply quit working. If your console stops working, try to determine whether or not you were taking proper care of it. Improper care of your Xbox 360 includes:

1. Not giving your console proper ventilation - This is, hands down, the quickest way to ruin your Xbox 360. If it is not allowed to cool properly, some very serious damages can occur.

2. Not handling your game discs with care - While this won’t damage your console, it can become a very expensive habit. Replacing game discs will cost a minimum of $20. This price depends on how old the game is, and whether or not you can find a used copy somewhere.

3. Leaving the console on for long periods of time - This can have the same effect as improper ventilation. While this does not damage your console as quickly, it can cause it to stop working, nonetheless.

The next important realization is that your Xbox 360 may develop problems regardless of how well you take care of it. since the Xbox 360 is so expensive, this can be frustrating. If and when some problem does occur, there are certain things you should check before panicking:

1. Check the AV cable. If the Xbox 360 AV cable is not plugged in properly, it will cause the red lights to flash on the front of the console.

2. Check to see if the console is extremely hot. If the Xbox 360 is too hot, it will shut itself off and flash the red lights.

3. Replace the power supply. The power supply, or power brick, has a multi color light on it. If the light is green, it is working properly. If it is red or orange, you might have to replace it.

4. see if you have been dealt the red rings of death. This is sometimes called the red rings of death. This problem occurs if the graphics processing unit becomes unattached to the mother board. This is the most serious problem of the console.
